our vision

To be "a Christ centred community of believers who are changing the world through the love and power of God."

This means that Jesus Christ is the focus of our lives both individually and corporately. We worship and honour Him, and seek to please Him in all we do. It means that church life for us is more than just attending meetings. It is building strong relationships and becoming a community of friends that truly care for one another. It means that we take our commission from the Lord seriously and aim to transform society by demonstrating the love and the power of God to a dying and needy world.

we believe

God is good

He is not against people; on the contrary He loved us so much He sent His son Jesus to the world to let us know how much. (John 3:16) When Jesus came into our world two thousand years ago, He came with good news (Luke 4:18) He forgave sins, healed people of every kind of sickness and disease. He was generous to the poor and sought to lift them out of their poverty. We believe He hasn’t changed (Hebrews 13:8) He is still transforming lives and He does it through His people – The Church.

Jesus is alive

He wasn’t just a martyr for a cause; He died a sacrificial death to pay the price for our sin and then He rose from the grave so that we can share in His eternal life (1 John 4:19). It is by believing in Jesus and accepting Him as our saviour and our King that we can experience this new life.

We can know God personally

Christianity is not just about going to church or reading the Bible every day, although these things are good to do. It’s about having a real relationship with God. He wants us to know Him and experience His goodness in every area of life. Jesus said that He came to give us life to the full (John 10:10). That means He wants to help us succeed in our family life, our relationships, our jobs and our school or college. (John 14:15-20)

The Bible is His word to us and it is relevant today

The Bible is not just a book of stories with a moral. It is God’s words given to men and women (2 Timothy 3:16). It enables us know how God thinks and instructs us how to live our lives successfully. We have found that as we take hold of and apply the truths of God’s word to our lives amazing changes take place.

Jesus is the only way to know God

There are those who think that all religious beliefs are the same, and therefore all roads lead to heaven. According to Jesus’ own words that is simply not true. Jesus said “I am the way, the truth and the life. No-one comes to the father except through me.” (John 14:6)

Jesus is coming back

There is a day coming when King Jesus will return and all of us will have to stand before God and give an account of how we have lived our lives. (Matthew 16:27) On that day there will be a separation of all those who belong to Him and those who do not. For those who belong to Him there will be everlasting life, and to those who do not everlasting separation and punishment. The Bible tells us that God does not want people to go to hell, but He does give everyone the choice of where they will spend eternity. (2 Peter 3:9)
